Public presentations (FÖP)
As part of the doctoral programme, PhD candidates are required to present and discuss their dissertation project at an early stage of their studies. This process includes the submission of a research proposal and a public presentation of the planned research. Successful completion of these steps is necessary for the formal confirmation of the dissertation topic and the establishment of the thesis advisory committee.
The public presentation (named “Fachöffentliche Präsentation” in German, abbreviation FÖP) also serves as an opportunity to introduce new doctoral researchers and their projects to the academic community. It encourages scholarly exchange, constructive feedback, and networking among researchers, supervisors, and other participants.
We warmly congratulate our 10 AID PhD candidates on the successful completion of this important milestone!
We are excited to see their projects develop and wish them every success in the next stages of their doctoral studies.
